Fitness Mentoring

As wise gym members begin to realise that they’re not going to achieve anything other than a direct debit shaped hole in their wallet by going to the gym, there is a need for something a little bit different.

Not everyone can access our personal training for a variety of reasons so it became evident that we needed to provide a service which allowed everyone to benefit from our expertise.

This is where Fitness Mentoring comes in.

Those who have the motivation to train on their own but need expert guidance on nutrition and program design can now use us as mentors rather than personal trainers in the traditional sense.

We’ll design exact programs for you and be on your back making sure you get things done!

This is ideal for those who travel a lot and need to know exactly what to do when they have 20 minutes to train in their hotel room or hotel gym!

Those who are fed up of the lacklustre approach and lack of knowledge of gym instructors will also find this a highly refreshing and rewarding experience!

Fitness mentoring can either been done in our studio or via email if you don’t live close enough to get in to see us!

The devil on your shoulder

As your fitness mentors, we’ll meet with you in person or design and send your new program by email every 4-6 weeks to change your training and nutrition plan as required.

This means that you will continue to make progress whether you are trying to lose body fat, build muscle or improve your posture or sports performance. We’re hear to ensure program and nutrition adherence at a fraction of the cost of personal training.

Your goals will be determined by mutual agreement and through discussion during your initial consultation phase.  

From here we’ll design a personalised program for you within a few days to get you to your goals as fast as possible

In between our 6 weekly review sessions, you will have access to our knowledge and advice via email to discuss any outstanding issues or areas of confusion as required.

You might just want to get a few personal issues off your chest which are stopping you from eating properly or training hard enough to see the results you desire.

Developing a fitness lifestyle

Fitness cannot be a separate part of your life if it is going to play as big a part as it can. Because of this it will affect and be affected by everything else going on. We’re here to listen to the issues and resolve anything we can as fast as possible.

Whatever you need to discuss we will talk about and work through together. Clients see us as not only as the inspirational figures they need to keep them on track and keep them accountable, but also as confidantes who always have an ear open.

The aim, as with our personal training, is to educate you as well as give you the programs to do, so that you do not become dependent on us. We don’t see such a dependency as productive for either of us!

How it works

You have the option to begin with an initial 60 minute consultation (including blood pressure, body fat test and circumference measurements, full posture assessment and movement analysis) or fill in a detailed email questionnaire. Clearly without meeting in person we won’t be able to take any measurements but many can be done on your own or at your local gym. This is useful for those who wish to benefit from our expertise in order to finally achieve their fitness goals but cannot get to our studio.

One of the key reasons our mentoring is guaranteed to produce results is through a detailed metabolic typing questionnaire. This enables us to identify exactly what foods suit you as an individual, ensuring permanent fat loss and optimal health. As the saying goes “one man’s food is another man’s poison”

Many mass market solutions will cause rapid weight loss, but because they don’t address underlying imbalances the results are usually short lived (not to mention expensive…)

Once you have begun your mentoring, you have the option to have 4-6 weekly review sessions to update your training and nutrition plan.

(There is no obligation to have any reviews following your first 4-6 weeks but if you’re committed to long-term change, regular reviews are essential)

Mentoring via email is ongoing and not restricted and included in the package.

Please note that as with personal training, acceptance of you as a BodyClocq team member is by application and constant review only. If the relationship is determined to not be productive for either party, you will be politely refused our services in the future.
