A highly popular option for those looking to let out the stresses of the day and do some very effective bodyweight conditioning (exercises you can use at home as well)! Boxercise teaches you how to punch safely and effectively using gloves and focus pads so no-one ever actually gets hit! Guaranteed to sky-rocket confidence levels!

All circuit classes are designed around full body, functional exercises using kettlebells, dumbbells, medicine balls, bodyweight and anything else we find which delivers maximum fat burning and adrenaline! All exercises can be scaled up or down depending on your skill and fitness levels.

Kettlebells are fast becoming the choice of athletes and fitness enthusiasts looking for high levels of stamina, power endurance, core strength, dynamic flexibility and solid, toned muscles. The effects can only be appreciated after a session of swings, get ups, presses and snatches! So much more fun than cardio machines whilst delivering many more benefits to your body!

Please do not offend us by mistaking these sessions for ‘gym classes’!

Having worked as the top trainers in Nottingham’s biggest commercial gym we’ve seen it all when it comes to the ineffectiveness and scams that are ‘classes’.

Consider the following:

Have you ever wondered how a good personal trainer will spend weeks if not months to develop a client’s ability to perform technically demanding movements like the squat or deadlift properly, yet a BodyPump instructor can supposedly control the safety and technical elements of 30 people weight training in one go?

And then… even an average gym instructor knows there must be some way of measuring progress when designing an exercise program. Yet when it comes to aerobics classes the only changes ever made to the training is the music or the complexity of the dance! This will not cause changes to your body shape.

Training of any sort requires ‘progressive overload’ to get results. This means it must get harder and harder each week so that the body is forced to maintain a high metabolic rate burning lots of calories, building or maintaining muscle.

Aerobics classes cannot do this because at some point your body gets used to moving your bodyweight around. Once it can do this efficiently, you will NOT burn any more body fat. (The same applies to long, boring cardio unless you keep running further and further and further….)

So why are BodyClocq group fitness sessions much better for creating a lean, athletic body?

These sessions take exactly the same approach as BodyClocq personal training sessions.

The sole aim is to turn your body into a metabolic furnace so that you roast calories both during and between sessions and sky-rocket your stamina levels!

You will never have experienced the camaraderie, adrenaline, excitement or results of BodyClocq Group Fitness!

Group numbers are deliberately limited so that a strong focus can be maintained on teaching and then monitoring technique.

Sessions change every week to keep them exciting but will always involve some combination of the following:

Sprints
Team challenges such as ‘playing for points’
Boxercise
Cardio intervals
Partner work
Dynamic core strength
Speed and agility work
Skipping

All exercises are scaled to the skill levels present in the group so anyone can take part!

There will be none of this bicep curling, tricep extension nonsense or the involvement of any machines. Why has the world of fitness become so foolish that everyone judges a training facility on how expensive its machines are?

This is about coming together with a group of like-minded, committed individuals of all levels to push, encourage, joke with and develop each other. Everything is based around movements the human body is designed to perform – running, jumping, lifting, pulling and pushing, as close to nature as possible!
